We love Franks. We've never eaten in and always done take out, however the inside is so cute and has great mood lighting. We'd love to go there for a date night.

We've always gotten the pizza and have been blown away. The crust is flavorful, not too thick and not tooo thin. The sauce is well seasoned, and the cheese is gooey and delicious.

I read that the mozzarella sticks were made from house made mozzarella and individually cut and battered fresh, so we tried those out. They were delicious. More like logs rather than sticks!

We haven't tried any of the pizza specials, but I'm eyeing a white pizza for next time. So glad to have a great Italian restaurant nearby!

Sad to see the star rating for this place at 3.5. I worked here a decade ago and a lot had changed here. They've added an outdoor patio so people can enjoy an al fresco dining experience in the warmer months. They've also added more seating on the right hand side as you walk in, that area used to be the bar/wine area with two high top tables. They also updated the dining table tops from a dark wood to what looks like granite (not 100% sure what it is).

I brought my mom here as her request for her birthday lunch. I haven't been here to eat since 2011, since I'd moved to Florida. Giuseppe came out after a while and chatted with us which was a pleasure. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and I've missed them so much! They cut the mozz in house and bread them too. They are the largest ones I've ever found at any Italian spot I've been. Served with their house made marinara it's perfect. I could literally drink their sauce by the cup. My mom ordered a Greek salad and calamari.

Franks has never disappointed me ever. The rolls even changed too. The bread given to us were golden with sesame seeds and looks like they had been baked in a muffin tin. Warm and soft inside with a crispy outside. I ordered the eggplant parm lunch. This was a tough choice because I love the eggplant here and the chicken parm (both the meals and subs). The only thing that was off was the dressing, it was more balsamic vinegar and less oil. My only thought was it wasn't stirred or shaken prior to serving it on the salads. Other than that little thing the rest of the food was amazing. The calamari is always cooked just right. I could eat that as a meal itself too. This was definitely worth our thirty minute drive for an amazing birthday lunch. They waitress brought your a slice of cappuccino dessert (I think a cheesecake or tiramisu like dessert for my mom to go too). Thank you again for putting out amazing food prepped with love.

Not quite authentic NY Style pizza, but pretty close! Definitely better than the likes of Papa John's, Domino's, Pizza Hut, etc. This will now be our go-to take-out pizza place. The Greek salad was good too, tons of feta cheese, kalamata olives, and they even ask if you want anchovies! Yum! And the cannoli was decent too! Our waiter was very attentive and he took the time to explain the menu. We will be back for sure, for either take-out or dine-in.

Nice place,  great service.  Food wasn't great.   I had the chicken special with spinach,  peppers and mushrooms. No flavor, swimming in a flavorless white wine sauce.  The sauce would have been unnecessary if the food was truly grilled. Great opportunity lost.  Eggplant parm was overcooked and salty.   Lasagna was served with so much sauce, you could not see it.

Favorite restaurant for my wife and I. Fabulous menu. The pizza, New York style and Sicilian, are the best I've had in Richmond. Great chef, great servers and great family owners. Enough said.
